When you complete an application through Maryland Health Connection, we ask for certain information about you and your household like your citizenship and income (if you are interested in financial assistance).

If we’re unable to verify the information you provided in your application using information from the Internal Revenue Service, the Social Security Administration and other data sources, you will receive a notice in your online account’s My Inbox or by mail requesting that you provide us with a copy of documentation to make sure that your application information is correct.

The notice will give you a deadline for returning the requested documents to us. In most cases, if you are determined eligible for Medicaid or MCHP but have outstanding verifications, your enrollment is pending.

You cannot obtain services until you submit your outstanding verifications and they have been approved. You may submit these documents online through MarylandHealthConnection.gov in your account’s My Inbox or mail them to Maryland Health Connection, P.O. Box 857, Lanham, MD 20703.
